Northcote announce promotion of Danny Young to Head Chef

Northcote, a luxury hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant in Lancashire’s Ribble Valley, has announced that its Senior Sous Chef, Danny Young, has been promoted to Head Chef.

Young has been a loyal and long-serving member of the Northcote kitchen brigade, working his way up the ranks from apprentice when he joined in 2010.

The chef’s skill, dedication and passion won him the title of National Young Chef of the Year in 2018, as well as Northcote’s Employee of the Year and Employee’s Employee of the Year.

Young is also an integral part of the hotel’s annual Obsession gastronomic event, sourcing a wide variety of produce for the guest chefs.

As right-hand man to Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen, the Northcote team is looking forward to the summer season and the reopening of indoor dining over the coming weeks.
